Members have long traded information and expertise, going so far as to help each other with repairs. The club has always emphasized the quality over the quantity of exchanges. Yet although we deeply appreciate the extemporaneous discussions between our resident experts, we welcome computer users of all levels. The novice portion of each meeting is devoted to responding to questions no matter how trivial they seem.

Club History

The Computer Club of Ocean County was founded by Gerry Wagner and Walter Gabriel in August, 1982. Within two months, membership had risen to 25. Several students were also members. One remains active even though he is married and holds a PhD.

Meetings were originally held at the Dover (now Toms River) Township Municipal Building and later at the Presbyterian church in Toms River.
